There is no 100 % security in live and certainly also not on expedition tours. That we know all. Threats can come from evil fellow man. But also simple basics like wrong or absent reserve material can get you into trouble, even in case of an else easy-to-fix problem. Apart form all that, a good and sound common sense is very important. Can I or do I want to take additional risks? What if..?

I personally do not need the latest buzz to get my tours more exciting (they are anyway). I am fully satisfied with all the 'normal' intense impressions I get. On the other hand, an accident, an engine break-down or some health problems can arise without warning. As long as you move through populated areas, help can be organised quickly almost all the time and the local population is eager to assist you in general. But they are no magicians either. Although they are mostly very skillful, they often need the specific replacement material to fix the problem. Apart from a detailed tour planning and carrying some reserve material with me, I also made some additional adaptions to my Zebra.
